BAC History - Highlights

This is the vision given to Pastor David Bradt many years ago, when
The Lord was about to lead him to start BAC.

I saw a beautiful meadow.
In it I saw all kinds of beautiful wild flowers of different colors.
They were shimmering in the sunlight.
I asked the Lord what the different colored flowers in the meadow meant.
And the Lord spoke to me and said:  "These are the planting of the Lord."

The beautiful, diversely colored flowers in his vision represent
the people God has established in our church.

God has truly begun the fulfillment this vision.

1983
We started out by having some meetings in various homes.  Pastor Bradt felt it was time to find a building.

June, 1983
Six adults and four children met together at the North End Boy's Club on Madison Avenue in Bridgeport.  This was our first official service, as a church body.

July, 1983
Our small but growing church moved into "Joe Villane's  Dance Studio" located on Charles Street in Bridgeport.

November, 1983
After much searching and prayer we moved to a large catering hall on the corner of Charles Street and Madison Ave.  It was on the second floor, so we affectionately referred to it as the  "Upper Room."

October 18, 1988
We closed on a church building at 955 Union Ave.  After a tremendous amount of remodeling, we moved into our building and had many wonderful services there.

August, 2004
We had our first service at our new church home, 499 Washington Ave.

May 20, 2006 - BAC held it's 23th Anniversary Service,
In the last 23 years we have labored in Gospel work in Bridgeport, Connecticut and the Lord has graciously established a beautiful multi-cultural church family.

Bridgeport Apostolic Church exemplifies that every culture and ethnic background can worship together.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ truly knows no cultural nor color barrier, but the love of Christ transcends the social barriers and prejudices of men and gives all people an equal opportunity for acceptance and forgiveness by a God of Love and compassion.

Over the years, we have seen people delivered from drugs and alcohol addictions, healings, marriages restored, and families re-united.  We have seen people's lived blessed abundantly.  Many people have received the Holy Ghost and been baptized in Jesus name.
